Reading Periods
The open reading period for General Submissions begins January 1st
January 1st - March 15th, 2010 (No reading fee)
We like to receive no more than 6 poems with a short bio and #10 Self-Addressed Stamped Envelope for return. Prefer no simultaneous submissions but immediate notification if accepted elsewhere is acceptable.
Send to: Comstock Review Editors 4956 St. John Drive Syracuse, NY 13215
NO ELECTRONIC SUBMISSIONS OF ANY KIND ARE ACCEPTABLE.
All submissions from the United States of America must be accompanied by a SASE (self-addressed stamped envelope #10 envelope) in order to receive a reply. If you do not want your poems returned, a single stamp is all that is required.
If you live outside the USA, we will reply to you by e-mail if you have it available. Please be sure it is legible.
Poets who have poems accepted may receive reply by e-mail from any of our editors. These e-mails will not come from our personal e-mail accounts rather than poetry@comstockreview.org Comments, when we have time, and other poems will be sent back in the SASE.
Please put identifying information on each page of poetry submitted in case manuscripts get separated.
We only accept typed poems (or poems printed on the computer) preferably in a font large enough, and clear enough, to be easily read.
We prefer single-spaced poems so we can get the feel for how they would look in the magazine. Our average poem is no longer than 40 lines (not counting spaces).
For further important information click on "How to Submit" in the left-hand box on the home page or click the underlined link above.
